The Bahranian Flag has a white band on the left along with a red area on the right split, which comprises of five triangles. Red is the traditional color for flags of the Arab states known as the Persian Gulf. The five points are the five pillars of Islamism. The flag of Bahrain resembles Qatar flag in several aspects. The flag of Bahrain has two bands of different colors and diverse widths. The left band is white in color and receipts up a little over one-third of the background. The band on the right hand side is red and covers the outstanding two-thirds of background space. These two parts are unglued by a zigzag design that is complete up of 5 white points, or triangle shapes. This design generates 4 whole triangles and two half-triangles on the red side. Bahrain flag has 2 colors red and white. The current flag of Bahrain was officially accepted on February 14, 2002.
The initial known Bahranian flag were basic red. In 1820, Bahrain contracted a general maritime treaty with the British Empire, and as effect, a white stripe was supplementary to the flag to indicating the treaty and to differentiate it from the flags generally used by pirates. In 1932, a serrated edge was added to the flag in order to separate it from those of its nationals. The flag formerly had twenty-eight white points; however this was compact to eight in 1972. On 14 February 2002, the figure was again reduced to five, so that each of the points could stance for one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
The white color comprises 13⁄40 (32.5%) of the flag area, whereas the red color encompasses 27⁄40 (67.5%) of the area. The color requirement is red: Pantone 186 c / CMYK (%) C 0 – M 90 – Y 80 – K 5. The present design of the flag of Bahrain embraces significant sense for this republic. The design and color depicts back to early 19th century, when the Arab countries signed the General Treaty of Peace with the UK. This treaty included a band of white to characterize their new, peaceful relationship. By this time, the Bahrain's flag had already combined the color red representing the Islamic religion.
