The flag of Mozambique was accepted on 1 May 1983. It comprises of the image of an AK-47 with a blade attached to the barrel. Mozambique Flag is one of three nationwide flags amongst UN member conditions that feature a firearm, along with those of Guatemala and Haiti.

Green views for the treasures of the land, the white fimbriations signify peacetime, black signifies the African continent, yellow represents the country's reserves, and red characterizes the struggle for independence. History of Mozambique Flag

The flag is built on the Mozambican Liberation Front (FRELIMO), the important political party in Mozambique. The FRELIMO flag, applied for a brief retro after the country increased its individuality from Portugal, appearances like the current flag but wanting the emblem, with green, black, and yellow horizontal bands unglued by white fimbriations and a red triangle in the winch. On freedom the colors were reorganized to form the state flag, in diagonals originating from the upper hoist. Over this was a white cogwheel covering the hoe, rifle, book, and star that seem on the contemporary flag. The flag was altered in 1983; the colors were decided in horizontal strips, and the star of Marxism was made superior.
